& the Angels carefully selects suppliers who are striving to ensure best efforts are found and upheld to reduce waste, ensure their footprint is as light as possible, protect the environment and the people within the industry at all levels.

All of our jewellery is fully assayed by the London Assay Office to assure the purity of the metal and features a hallmark to verify this as well as our makers mark atA to verify its origin.

We take care in & the Angels work+shop to recycle and reuse our ‘sweep’. All precious metal off-cuts, scrap and dust is carefully collected.

All of the silver is 925 Sterling silver.

Wherever possible &the Angels sources CERTIFIED RECYCLED 925 STERLING SILVER.

However, some necklaces and earrings in our collections are made with chains and findings (e.g.clasps and earring backs) which are yet to be manufactured in Fairtrade, Fairmined or Recycled metals. These specialist findings and chains are not something that & the Angels can produce by hand and guarantee the same aesthetic and quality. So, where the main feature of your jewellery will be made in Fairmined gold, or certified recycled silver the chain and findings may not.

Please ask for details on particular pieces and we will be happy to explain the traceability of the materials it has been made with.

Since 2021 there has been a small selection of gold chain made from Fairmined gold. The movement towards ethical metals is largely driven by small handmade business like ourselves and our customers, and we are proud to be effecting change at this level. Some chain, clasps and findings have not been certified as recycled.

All of & the Angels gold is FAIRMINED.

Unless otherwise specified gold will be plated using Fairmined 18K 2.5 micron plate except rings which are plated using Fairmined 18K 5 micron plate.
